A single mom's journey through nothing…and everything about raising two girls – long distance.

About

mom n girlsHi! My name is Eula and I am a single-working mom to two wonderful girls, Katherine and Ashley. Like every young bride on their wedding day, I never thought I would be a single mom at the age of 35. I guess no bride gets married thinking that one day she might end up all alone.

The first year after my separation was pure chaos.  It was a year full of heartaches…it was devastating, but I know I have grown so much.  I have also spent a lot of time working through my thoughts and feelings, trying to figure out what happened.  And through that, I slowly gained back my confidence and learned to look for the positive things in life.

Even though life turned out so different from what expect it to be, but I am growing.  I am confident that God has planned something beautiful for me and the girls.

It is not easy to live and work away from the girls.  Parenting and loving them from a distance is a daily challenge I have to face.  But as time passes I am getting more and more into our groove.

Of course, I would not be able to do this without the love and support of my parents. My Nanay and Tatay who took on the role of surrogate parents to the girls.  My thank you(s) will never be enough.  I owe them my all.

I know everything happened for a reason, and those experiences will help me figure out who I am and where I fit in this world.

I have started this blog to chronicle my journey together with my daughters, and maybe in one small way or the other our story will encourage other women to reach for that light at the end of the tunnel.
